Finally... It's Here

After a longer off season than Celtics fans would have liked, the Boston Celtics are ready to make their way back on to the court. The guys have arrived in Waltham and will be answering questions today during Media Day. I'm sure there will be a lot of questions asked today so we decided to preview the big questions that will be asked today and the remainder of training camp.

1. Is KG's knee ready, and is he going to return to the same way he played in 2007-2008?

This is the biggest question of the offseason and will remain the biggest question probably throughout the entire season. Most people need to see KG healthy before they declare the Celtics a championship team.

2. Who will get the final roster spot?

There are rumors out there that the Celtics are definetly going to sign Lester Hudson. A source spoke with JoJo White at a charity auction and JoJo said he is definetly signed.

3. How will Rajon Rondo handle off season criticism?

There was a lot of talk during the off season of Rondo being moved to different teams. Hopefully this does not effect his play as a Celtic this season and he can return to the Rondo we saw last year in Round 1 against the Bulls.

4. What will Tony Allen's role be?

Assuming Tony Allen remains healthy, and that we don't get rid of him before the season starts, what role will he play? At one point during the days of Paul Pierce and Ricky Davis, Allen was a starter for this team. Since then his stock has diminished and has become a "joke" in the minds of some Celtics fans. Can he return and give something positive to this team?

I'm sure more questions will arise before the start of the season but these are just a few questions to get us started. We hope to have more news later today from reports out of Waltham. Keep checking for updates, and get those duck boats ready for banner 18!!!!!

I'd like to comment on the 3rd question. I think Rondo will handle things very well. One, he is surrounded by mature teammates and they are veterans, so I'm sure it rubs off a little. and two, rondo is being coached by I think one of the best coaches in history plus rondo is a player who knows what to say. So we will see.

Not only that, I think last year the Celtics were confused about their identity. It seemed to me last year was an awkward year all the way around. It is a huge blow to lose someone with the intensity and demand on both ends of the ball KG creates. Pierce is a leader, but KG is someone, I think, Rondo looks at as an example. With KG keeping him in line, I don't think like you said we'll have any worries.

The way they talked today, it don't seem like their's any worries. But they also said he'd be ready for the playoffs last year, I guess its just a waiting game
