Celtics 106 Raptors 90
Allen returned to Hartford, Conn. tonight, where he played during his younger years. Maybe there was too much pressure to shine tonight? Ray went 1-7 from the field and 0-2 from behind the arc. His night was spared with 6-6 from the line as he finished with 8 points.
The game was highlighted with KG and Rondo regaining their internal communication as they hooked up on some lob plays. Pierce quietly continued his pace with a 17 point night in 26.5 minutes. KG is right on target to hit his regular season marks playing almost 23 minutes with 16 points and 6 boards (not on target for minutes). The bench was lead by the likings of Lester Hudson and Glen Davis who had 12 and 13 points respectively.
The one thing that comes out of this game for me is the play of Marquis Daniels. Consistency. We are looking for game after game performances from him and we haven't seen it yet. His past three games have been up and down. Versus the Knicks he scored 3 - Versus Nets on Sunday 9 - Raptors tonight 0. This isn't to say points are all we are looking for. However, when shots go up, we expect some to go in. I haven't quite figured out his game yet. He has taken some weird looking shots- shots out of rhythm. No judgement call on his regular season with the Celtics just what I have noticed in the small sample of games.
