A mixture of the two. There is no way a professional basketball team should only score 59 points in 48 minutes of play. The Celtics hands down have outstanding defense. They were out there blocking shots, and rotating with ease. But, the Bobcats missed a ton of open shots.
The Bobcats ended 0% from behind the 3 pt. arc going 0-10. A lot of those shots were wide open, just not even close. They went 52 percent from the foul line shooting 13-25. Their total FG% was 31%. Terrible. Hopefully for Charlotte's case, it was just an off night.
As far as the Celtics D, which is trying to become the best ever, they have started the season out great allowing 74 ppg. Don't expect that number to remain that low, but I'd say we are well on our way. Friday nights game at home against Chicago should be another chance for the Celtics to hold their opponent to low scoring numbers.
