It is almost once again Monday and I am just in shock. Not just from basketball but with New England Football as well. I can't handle all these losses all in one weekend!! So many items in my apartment could be broken right now. Anyways, let's get down and dirty with todays Starting five.
Point Guard - Boston Herald - Larry Bird Likes Celtics New Big 3
" Overall, Bird likes these Celtics."
So basically I picked this one because it's about a legend talking about future legends. Why would you not want to read about a legend talking about future legends on your favorite team. Anyways, good read and I hope you like my first pick of the week.
Shooting Gaurd - North Station Sports - Pierce Takes Blame
“I was able to make it through the game, but I obviously hurt us tonight. Especially on the defensive end.”
- Paul Pierce, following the Celtics 113-104 loss to the Pacers.
This is why Pierce is the captain. He steps up and takes the blame for the loss and then turns around and we never hear another thing about the loss. He has wide enough shoulders to carry this blame and to lead the team all at the same time. Your going to love this post.
Small Forward - Celtics Blog - Unemployment Line
"Many teams have trimmed back on rosters as a cost-saving measure, and the line at the free agency office has rarely been this talented."
Since we are going through rough economic times I thought this post would fit perfectly. It does talk about other teams, not just Boston so If your up for some NBA talk, you'll like this read.
Power Forward - Celtics Town - Celtics - Pacers
"I know that would have been the only appropriate reaction to people PLAYING MADDEN ’10 WHILE THE CELTICS WERE ON! "
This is a recap of Pacers and Celtics. I know how much you guys want to read more and more about this. I thought it was a good recap even though it was a loss. I can definitely see the personality of the writer. check it out and let them know what you think!!
Center - Ginos Jungle - Celtics Atrocious Loss
"If you are looking for a word to sum up the Boston Celtics performance tonight, try the word atrocious. "
This is the only recap that I saw where the blogger wasn't talking about AGE. I'm getting sick of hearing about there age. It does matter to an extent but I'm reading content and it sounds like they are talking about a Kurt Warner. He's doing just fine isn't he? And he's playing a rougher sport!! I'm not a football blogger though so don't quote me at all. In all seriousness I liked this post because it was new content and I enjoyed it.
