Gino's Starting Five

Posted by GinosJungle on November 21, 2009 at 1:25 AM

After a tough loss to the Magic last night we will see what people around the Celtics blogosphere have to say about it. For those use to NUBZ doing the "Starting Five" he was unavailabe to do them today. So here we go, here is your starting five for Saturday November 21st.

Point Guard - Celtics Town - Running Diary: Vince Carter shoots just enough for Magic to down Celtics

"If the Celtics weren't ice-cold, they would have come away with the win, and most of the blame would have fallen squarely on the shoulders of Vince Carter. Shoulders that are likely sore from chucking so many shots."

Great recap by Jay King over at Celtics Town. Every game Jay keeps a running diary during the game, make sure to check out what he had to say while the action went on.

Shooting Guard - Celtics Life - Celtics Lose to Orlando, Just About Time to Worry

"How many top paid point guards sit on the bench in the 4th quarter? Ok Tony Parker may have done it a bit in the beginning of his career but Rondo looks so timid out there."

In this post by Celtics Life, they give their opinion on why Celtics fans should start worrying. One of the things they mention is the lack of minutes Rondo played against Orlando. This is something I was also wondering during the game.

Small Forward - Howard the Dunk- Magic Grind Out Victory Over Celtics

"The Magic made many dumb mistakes and took several ill-advised shots but grinded out a win on the road over one of the NBA’s elite teams."

This one is from our friends over at Howard the Dunk, an Orlando Magic blog. Read this recap to see an Orlando fan's prospective on the game that was.

Power Forward - Celtics Blog - Ugly Ugly Ugly

"Doc tells Sheed to take fewer 3's and the very next game he goes 0-8. With that said, most of them were good, open shots."

Jeff Clark over at Celtics Blog gives us some bullet points of his thoughts after the game against the Magic. I choose the quote above because I am very disappointed with Sheed at the moment, hopefully he will limit the attempts ASAP.

Center - Red's Army -  Playoff Basketball in November

"The game turned with the Celtics trailing 80-78, and in need of a stop. Referee Eric Dalen made a highly questionable foul call on Paul Pierce with Orlando's shot clock winding down."

During the game I was at Red's Army for their live chat, when this call was made nobody could believe it. Check out their recap for some striaght forward facts on what went on in tonight's statement game against Orlando.

I hope you enjoy these five reads associated with tonight's game, enjoy your Saturday and make sure to tune into Gino's Jungle every morning for your Starting Five.
