Gino's Starting Five

Posted by B-PAUL on November 22, 2009 at 12:56 AM

Yesterday was an off day for the Celtics so it gave us bloggers some time to reflect on the recent happenings and preview today's game against New York. Here are five great reads from around the Celtics blogosphere.

Point Guard - North Station Sports - More Questions then Answers– Magic Drop the Celtics at the Garden

"At the end of the day, last night’s game was supposed to get the green back on track instead, it offered us more quandaries in what’s becoming as essay of Celtics tribulations."

Our good blogging friend Nick Gelso's recap on Friday night's game against the Magic. His thesis of the post is that instead of answering our questions Friday night, the Celtic's gave us more questions to ask. Make sure to check out North Station Sports often for great reads.

Shooting Guard - Loy's Place - Comments from the Other Side - Magic 11/20

" You know even before Rondo started becoming a wannabe bad boy. Punching out Brad Miller throwing Heinrich into a score table. Grabbing Chris Paul and trying to get him to fight. I still wanted to punch him. He's just got one of those annoying "I want to punch this guy in the face" faces. I can take satisfaction knowing JWILL will knock Rondo out if he try's anything tonight. I predict a fight!"

Following every game, Shirley over at Loy's Place puts together a list of comments from the "other side". In today's case it was from Orlando Magic fan's, check it out for some hillarious comments about our beloved C's. We will see who's talking come June.

Small Forward - Celtics 17 - Celtics Holed Up in Cave of Despair

"This is all because, simply, the Celtics just aren’t playing basketball right now. If they were exhibiting some enthusiasm on the hardwood; if they were playing with some heart on the parquet; if they were playing Celtics basketball, I wouldn’t be complaining."

This one is written by Graham over at Celtics 17. If you want well written piece check this one out. Graham is an excellant writer and can "wow" you with his work. This article includes his thoughts after a Celtics loss Friday night against the Magic.

Power Forward - Boston Globe - Live by the three, die by the ...

"The Celtics are dreadful from the behind the arc in losses, so much so that Ray Allen and Paul Pierce are the lone Celtics to hit more than one 3-pointer in the four defeats."

This is one article I had to put up today, this is the most informational article I've read today. The article gives the some very good statistical information on how the Celtics are relying on the streak this season. Make sure to check it out.

Center - Hardwood Houdini - Boston Celtics vs. New York Knicks

With the early 1pm start for tomorrow's game I thought it would be good to get a preview up on the starting five. Travis from Gino's Jungle and Hardwood Houdini gives us his thoughts and opinions on tomorrows game.

I hope you enjoy these five great reads from around the Celtics internet world. Have a good Sunday and NUBZ will be back on Monday.
