As reported by Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe, the Celtics have waived Lester Hudson prior to tonight's game vs. Miami. Apparently this may not mean the end of Hudson's tenure with the Celtics but they did make the move before his contract would be guaranteed for the rest of the year. This makes sense from a guaranteed money sense but I have a hard time believing Hudson will clear waivers so the Celtics can sign him to a 10-day contract.
It will be interesting to see if the Celtics have a veteran point guard on their radar. Maybe they will bring Dana Barros out of retirement! (Or, more realistically, Tyronn Lue.)
Stay tuned for the latest on this story!
