According to Adrian Wojnarowski's twitter page the Memphis Grizzlies have claimed former Boston Celtics guard Lester Hudson off of waivers. The move helps continue to make Memphis one of the youngest teams in the league.
Here is the official tweet from Adrian's twitter page:
"Memphis has been awarded Lester Hudson off waivers, a league source tells Y! Sports. The Celtics let the rookie point guard go this week."
According to the man we call "Woj" the Grizzlies had previously scouted Hudson before he was picked by the Celtics in this past year's draft.
"Memphis had scouted Hudson a great deal at nearby Tennessee-Martin, before Boston had picked him with the 58th pick of June Draft."
So Lester's time in Boston is officially over, the thoughts of him signing a ten day contract are domlished and his young career moves forward. If this guy turns into a Joe Johnson, I for one won't be impressed. I hope for Lester's sake that he does, but I also hope this is not another case of the Celtics letting another young gun go to soon.
