Hello to all...and stay away from the ledge.

As this is my first post allow me to introduce myself.  I am Michael Munger, one of the people who had the privilege to be in the "Return to the Rafters" Celtics documentary DVD.  Some of you may know me as the Scotsman from Celtics Stuff Live and the CSN live game chats.  I'd like to thank the guys here at Gino's Jungle for allowing me to have the opportunity to voice my opinions on their blog.  I appreciate it a lot and hope to add some unabashed homerism, ref bashing, and Lakers/Cavs/Magic hating that only Tommy Heinsohn could match.

On to our team.  This year is different from the last two in that we've struggled more to win games we should easily win.  Right now we sit at 27-11 which puts us 2nd in the East behind the Cavs.  For all the injuries we have had that record is amazing.  Don't forget, we beat the Magic and Cavs already who are the two teams that are legit contenders along wth us in the East.  While this may not be popular among fans, this team clearly doesn't care about the regular season.  They are focusing on getting healthy enough for the playoffs to make the run at Banner 18.  They will enter the playoffs at no lower than the 3rd seed but will more than likely end up at #1 or #2.

Here's the best part....KG, Sheed, and Marquis will be back and healthy come playoff time.  And while we would all like to see them play 82 games we all had to have known it probably wasn't going to happen that way.  And while injuries to major contributors suck we should look at it in a positive light.  All of these guys are not wearing themselves out in the regular season.  They won't have the 82 game wear and tear and will be fresher come playoff time.  The team will be back together as a whole unit in time to get that cohesiveness back and we will all enjoy yet another championship run.

Remember guys, the Refs suck and David Stern hates Boston.  GO CELTICS!!

Great first post Mike, look forward to seeing all your opinions on the site. You bring up a good point about looking at the positive coming out of all these injuries. It's really helping players like TA, Scal, and even Sheed so that when we do get fully healthy these guys will be right on que.
