CELTICS 94 ROCKETS 87
Since the game againts the Pacers... new focus and new energy. For the fourth time in five games, the Celtics had a clear advantage on their opposition. Finally, and it is coming at a perfect time (late in the season) the C's are eying to reach their pinnacle right as the playoffs roll in.
The Celtics got down a little early, but it didn't have much to do with any lack of hustle or attention to detail. To put it very simply, they were just missing shots. That only occured during the first 5 minutes of the game, though, and it was very evident the C's would eventually take over the first quarter, and the game. The ball was moving with ease, and the defense was rotating with quickness.
The Big 3 did it again. They all came out to play and had yet another great showing. Slowly they are shutting up everyone who says they can't do it. They put in 60 of the teams 94 points, and did so by shooting 7-12 from behind the arc, and 23-42 from the field.
Rasheed Wallace.... and I will make this a very short compliment section because chances are he will flip the script on us tomorrow... played very good defense, was rebounding, posting up, and shooting 2 good threes and only 1 bad three. I liked what I saw, and I hope that is the Sheed we see in the playoffs.
It was an all around solid performance, and it was a great start to the road trip. We can't get too giddy with excitement yet, though, as the team gets right back at it tomorrow night with a tough game in Dallas.
