Tonight the Boston Celtics are taking on the Houston Rockets at the TD Garden. Before tonight's game Rajon Rondo had already broken the franchise record for steals, but tonight a new record was meant to be broken. Going into the game Rondo had dished out 714 assists on the season, one short of Bob Cousy's franchise record of 715.
With 8:45 remaining in the first quarter Rondo sent an alley oop to Kevin Garnett which gave him 716 assists on the season, and the franchise record for assists in a season. Rondo recieved another standing ovation from the Garden crowd and he continues to prove that the $55 million dollars he is about to recieve is a bargain.
