Rondo's play showed hustle, heart, pride, and determination. What made it probably 10 times as great, is that the Celtics were up by 17 at the time. If you have not seen it yet, which I doubt you haven't, just click here.
Up 17 and we have our all star Point Guard who many said last year only hustled when he felt like it. diving on the floor. Anyways, here are the FIVE - count them FIVE plays that ESPN thought was better than Rondo's play yesterday (the one everyone is calling the Play of the Playoffs).
5- Daisuke had a line drive hit back at him and he stuck his glove out and grabbed it.
4- A guy dove for the ball at second / caught it / threw to first for the double play.
3- Beltre of the Sox dove at third / caught it / threw to first for the double play
2- Montreal Canadiens were down 2-0 with less than 2 min to play and an empty net.. The puck was going into the goal but at the last second a Canadiens player dove to swat the puck away from the empty net.
1- Milwaukee Brewers right fielder catches a fly ball crashing into the wall with the bases loaded and 2 outs in a tie game in the 10th inning to save the regular season game for the Brewers.
My question to you is- If this were LeBron or Kobe, is there any way this is NOT number 1???
