If the Celtics weren't already pumped up enough for a Game 6 in L.A all they have to do is watch ABC's broadcast of the game late in the fourth quarter. With a little under two minutes remaining, and the Celtics up 5, Phil Jackson decided to dump a little bit of fuel on the fire.
When ABC went "Wired" in the Lakers huddle Jackson stated (referring to the Celtics) , "This team has lost more games in the fourth quarter than anybody in the NBA. They know how to lose in the 4th quarter. Their just showing us that right now."
Umm Phil, I don't know if you had looked up at the scoreboard before you said this. In my mind the game was over at that point. I understand you're trying to give your team some motivation, but is it worth giving Doc Rivers something to play in front of a team that is on a mission? This has to make the Celtics players even more pissed off than they already are.
I hope this one really comes back to kick the "Zen Master" in the ass. He may have more rings than any other coach in NBA history but at the current moment he is getting out coached by Doc Rivers. You may ask his record in the NBA Finals against Doc Rivers? That would be 4-7. Hopefully 4-8 come Tuesday.
