The pieces of the puzzle are all finally starting to fall in place. Last night Paul Pierce answered a big question mark by opting out of his contract and now today, according to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald, Doc Rivers will be the Celtics coach next season.
The Celtic coach will be returning to the club for at least the remaining season on his contract, a source close to Rivers indicated moments ago.
The fact Rivers is staying on would seem to be an encouraging sign that the Celtics’ main players will also be back for another season.
Well if this rumor is true I guess that is one less thing we have to worry about. No Vinny Del Negro and no Kevin McHale. The coach of the 2010-2011 Celtics will be Doc Rivers. Let me tell you, there is no other coach in the league I would rather have at the forefront of this team.
